Bermuda's Zeiko Lewis Stock Up

IslandStats.com
www.islandstats.com has reported on Zeiko Lewis’ two performances during the adidas MLS Player Combine which is taking place in Los Angeles.

Lewis has played in both Team Control games and is now the team’s leading scorer, this after he scored twice against Team Tango in their 2 - 2 draw.

Lewis scored his team’s first goal in their 3 - 1 victory over Team Chaos converting a spot kick, he then converted from the spot in the first half against Team Tango, before scoring his second goal which came when he received a pass on the top of the box and with the goalkeeper off his line Lewis was able to lift his shot over the keeper and in off the upright.

In the performance tests at the 2017 adidas MLS Player Combine, Boston College forward Lewis and Colgate forward Ethan Kutler tied for first in the agility test with a 5-10-5 shuttle run time of 4.20 seconds.

Lewis also finished 4th in the Speed Test (30-meter dash) stopping the clock in a time of 3.89.

Meanwhile we can reveal a Armchair Analyst: Stock up, stock down after Day 2 of the 2017 Combine.

Lewis was in the Stock up category following his showing.

The frontrunner for Combine MVP at this point given his goalscoring exploits and ability to change the game on and off the ball. The big question was whether he'd be able to both keep his team's shape and push the defense deeper with his off-the-ball work, and he's answered both in the affirmative.

Lewis has been, from the first moment he's on the pitch to the moment he's subbed off, a handful.

That, of course, is what people need to see from the Bermudan speedster. Everybody knows he has individual, 1-v-1 and athletic gifts, but nobody was quite sure that he'd be able to bring that all to bear in such a haphazard setting.

He was probably going to be picked in the late teens heading into the Combine, but he's climbed up draft boards to the point where he may end up flirting with the top 10. As with Holland his international status works against him, but for the right team he's pretty clearly the right pick.
