Bermuda Archers Camerin Pickering, Jaydon Roberts, and Bernard Wade III began competing in the Continental Qualifier of the Americas in Colombia.
Taking to the Campo Suramericano de Tiro con Arco in Medellin for the Recurve Division, Archers know there are four Individual spots – two for men and two for women – which will be awarded by the end of tomorrow’s competition, but each nation can only win a maximum of one in this event.
Pickering is two match wins from finally achieving his Olympic dream.
In the First Round, all three Bermuda Archers received a bye, Pickering would defeat Roberts in the Second Round 6-2, while Wade III went down 6-4 to Luis Sanchez from Venezuela.
In Third Round action Pickering would defeat Thomas Flossbach from Argentina 6 – 2 to advance to the Quarter-Finals.
Pickering will take on Oscar Ticas from El Salvador in his Quarter-Final match.
