Lewis Finishes 4th in T53 Women's 100m in Grand Prix

Paralympian Jessica Lewis got her 2024 season underway at the 15th International Open Athletics Meeting / Grand Prix in Sharjah, Dubai.
Under the banner Dubai Club for People of Determination, Lewis lined up for the T53 Women’s 100 m Wheelchair Final.
Lewis would cross the line fourth clocking a time of 17.74, the race was won by Catherine Debrunner, from Switzerland who was clocked at 15.49, Samantha Kinghorn, from Great Britain was second in 15.56, and Hamide Dogangun, from Türkey was third stopping the clock in 16.62.
Lewis told www.islandstats.com, “I was happy with my first few strokes as we have been working on doing a long impulse into the rim.
But as I accelerated I was fighting to stay straight so didn’t get to practice the transitions we have been working on which was frustrating.
