Under 14 & Under 16 Round Up
The North Village Rams Under 16team went down 5 – 3 to the PHC Zebras at Bernard Park. The Zebras got two goals from Bruce Perinchief and single strikes from Kamau Leverock, Idrees Furbert and Kenny Mills Jr.. In other Under 16 action, Somerset Eagles defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 3 – 1 at the White Hill Field.

In Under 14 action, the North Village Rams One team defeated Hamilton Parish 2 – 0 at the BFA Field, while the Somerset Trojans defeated the Devonshire Colts 4 – 2 next door at Police Field. ..

Bromby Falls in Bacardi Cup
With one race to go skipper Peter Bromby and Crew < b>Magnus Liljedahl have all but lost their chance of defending the Star Class BACARDI Cup Trophy they won last year.

Bromby and Liljedahl entered the day in second place overall, racing was cancelled yesterday due to tornado warnings. Bromby and his crew was one of five boat that Did Not Finish taking 85 points.

Bromby is allowed to throw out his worst finish and already having a finish of 52nd in the first race, saw Bromby fall from 2nd to 17th with 64 points.

Pan American Youth Update
The Bermuda Ladies Under 17 hockey team began competing in the first ever Pan-American Youth Championships going on at the Carrasco Polo Club in Montevideo Uruguay.

Bermuda manager Juliette Oatley said, “We faced off against a very strong USA team in their opening match, although we went down 11-0 it should be noted that it took 22 minutes (out of 35minutes) for the USA to score in the second half”.

BCB to Monitor BA Situation
Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) Officials are monitoring the pending strike situation of British Airways Cabin Crew.

With the news that the union representing British Airways cabin crew has said its members will go on strike for three days from 20 March and for four days from 27 March, www.islandstats.com contacted the BCB about the situation at the National Cricket Team is set to depart Bermuda on the 23rd of March, one of the day’s the cabin crew have decided to strike.

Best of the Best Round Up
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association held the first Best of the Best Series events at the BASA Pool.

In some tuff conditions the swimmers took to the poll, with Mitchell Gariepy breaking the Men’s 9 – 10 400 meter Short Course IM set by Giles Lorimer-Turner, Gariepy hit the tape in 6:17.80 beating the previous record by 54.37 seconds. Gariepy also broke the Men’s 9 – 10 200 meter Short Course Breaststroke record when he hit the tape in 3:24.37 beating the previous record of 3:25.90.

Azher Leads Cumberland to Victory
Na’im Azhar and his Cumberland men’s tennis teammates defeat Alabama A&M, 5-1 in Orlando, Fla., during the squad’s Spring Break trip.

Azhar taking the honors of the number one spot won 0-6, 6-3, 6-3, over Desta Sandy, while Felipe Oliveira posted a 6-4, 6-3, victory against Nicholas Burger at No. 2.
