King Elected NACAC Athlete Commission Chair Person  (TRACK AND FIELD)

During the NACAC Championships this past weekend held in Toronto, Canada, elections were held for the Chairperson for the NACAC Athlete Commission. As noted earlier this year Arantxa King was selected as one of the females on the Athlete Commission when we sent in her nomination.

The Bailey's Bay Cricket Club were crowned the Digicel Under 12 Summer League Champions.

Bailey's Bay scored 97/2 after 15 overs and then restricted the Barracudas to 86/6 after 15 overs.

Antonio Warner was crowned the Boys Singles 12 and Under Division Champion during the Sagicor/COTECC Junior Tennis Tournament at the St Lucia National Tennis Center.

During the Boys Singles 12 and Under Division Final, Warner defeated Leeum Chan Pak in straight sets 4-1, 4-0.

The title win brings to an end of a tournament in Saint Lucia that saw four Bermuda Tennis players compete.

The Wednesday Night Sailing Series continued on the waters of the Hamilton Harbor, with 21 boats going to the start line for Race Day 16.

Nasty Medicine was the first boat to cross the line clocking a time of 57:50 and with their corrected time of 1:03:39 saw them finish 6th on the night.

The Bermuda Commercial Summer Softball League Play-off season continued at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond with a Triple Header with 87 runs crossing the plate.

In the opener the Butterfield & Vallis Sliders defeated the Athene Warriors 25 – 13, PwC defeated the Hardknockz 14 – 8 and the Buffaloes went down 18 - 9 to the Ragamuffins.

Sean Trott ran to victory in the Run Through Hyde Park 10k.

Trottt completed the course in a time of 34:26, the first female finisher Brittany Charboneau was second in 34:51 and Christopher Neumayer was third in a time of 36:03.
