The Finals in the CHUBB Bermuda Open 2022 Squash Championships at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club in Devonshire took place with the last qualifying spots for the 2021-2022 PSA World Championships up for grabs in both Finals. In the Women’s Final, Egypt’s Kenzy Ayman would prove too strong for top seed Georgia Adderley from Scotland winning 3 - 1.
Adderley won the first game 11-8, before Ayman drew the match level at 1 – 1 when she won the second game 11-9, Ayman would then take a 2 – 1 lead when she won the third game 11-6, she would then close out the match and claim her first PSA Title winning 11-9.
In the Men’s Final Juan Camilo Vargas, from Colombia, the No.6 seed for the competition, came from behind to defeat Scotland’s Rory Stewart the No.4 seed 3 – 2.
Vargas won a marathon first game 14-12, Stewart bounced back to level the match at 1 – 1 when he won the second game 11-7. Stewart would then take a 2 – 1 lead when he won the third game 11-4, but Vargas would win the fourth game 11-9 to level the match at 2 – 2. In the fifth and final game, Vargas would emerge victorious 11-3 to claim the title.
