Harness Pony Racing at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street delivered a night of high-stakes drama as the presiding judge was called upon for two nail-biting photo finishes. In a session defined by blistering speeds, several top contenders recorded identical times, requiring careful review to determine the final standings.
The fastest action of the evening occurred in Heat 7 of the 1:04/0 & Faster Time Bar Class, where the top two finishers could not be separated at the wire. They were closely followed by Rockeyed Optimist and Maurice Raynor, who secured third place with a time of 1:03&4.
The drama continued in Heat 10, which produced the second dead heat of the program. Double Time piloted by Candyce Martins and Somegoldsomewhere driven by Teshi Zuill hit the line in unison, both recording a winning time of 1:04. Martins was declared the winner in the final Heat of the night. In Heat 6, competing in the 1:04&1 to 1:05&1 Time Bar Class, Tahzii Flood steered Huntinforgold to a victory with a time of 1:04&1.
