Bermudian harness driver Kiwon Waldron secured a productive evening at Harrah’s Hoosier Park on Thursday night, guiding both of his mounts to solid fifth-place finishes in the Trot Class races.
Waldron, who is a consistent presence on the challenging US harness racing circuit, utilized his two drives to maintain sharpness in the slower gait division.
Waldron’s first appearance came in Race 5, where he was in the bike of Troten Away. The partnership delivered a competitive run, crossing the line in 5th position and stopping the clock in exactly 2 minutes flat (2:00.0).
Later in the evening, Waldron returned for Race 9, once again competing in the Trot Class, this time driving Wiggy Hill. The duo replicated their earlier result, finishing in 5th place with a time of 1 minute, 57 and one-fifth seconds (1:57&1).
While not returning to the winner’s circle, the two top-five finishes against strong fields underline Waldron’s continued ability to position his horses competitively in the demanding atmosphere of Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
