Bermudian harness racing driver Kiwon Waldron secured solid results in his two competitive qualifying races on the card at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Indiana, piloting two different horses to top-four finishes.
Waldron, a regular competitor in the North American harness racing circuit, utilized the qualifying races to sharpen form and timing across both the Pace and Trot disciplines.
Waldron’s first drive of the day came in Race 3, competing in the Pace Class. In the bike of Rockin The Jackpot, Waldron drove the horse to a respectable 3rd place finish, crossing the line in a time of 1 minute, 56 and three-fifths seconds (1:56&3).
The result marks a promising performance in the faster Pace category as the team prepares for upcoming racing.
Later in the day, Waldron was back on the track for Race 5, the final qualifying event he entered, this time competing in the Trot Class.
Driving Swanbrook Annie, Waldron guided the trotter to a 4th place finish, clocking a time of 2 minutes, 3 and three-fifths seconds (2:03&3) as they crossed the finish line.
The two competitive qualifying results provide valuable feedback and preparation for Waldron and his connections as the racing season progresses.
