Two of Bermuda's rising equestrian stars, Abby Bardgett and Alex McMartin, are set to embark on a major international journey, joining the Global Amateur Tour Brazil Tour 2025. The pair will compete and train alongside some of the world's best amateur riders, representing the island on a truly global stage.
Bardgett and McMartin are part of an incredible and diverse team that includes riders from Australia, South Africa, and across Europe. The tour is a unique showcase of international spirit, skill, and passion.
At just 10 years old, Bardgett developed a lifelong love for jumping. The Brazil tour marks a significant milestone in her career, as it will be her first experience competing at the prestigious CSI 5* level. She is determined to make every moment of the journey count.
McMartin's riding journey began in Bermuda before taking her to the USA for further development. She has since returned to compete at home, reaching heights of up to 1.15m. Brazil is her first equestrian adventure in South America, and she is eager to embrace every ride, challenge, and cultural experience the tour has to offer.
