The National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street was once again the scene of exhilarating harness pony racing action, with close finishes and impressive times highlighting the competitive spirit of the season.
Philip Correia, driving War Machine, emerged as a standout performer, securing two victories in the 1:04 & Faster Time Bar Class. In Heat 7, Correia and War Machine clocked an impressive time of 1:03&4, matching the time set by Teshi Zuill with SomeGoldSomeWhere. The judge ultimately ruled in favour of Correia, awarding him the victory in a thrilling photo finish.
Candyce Martins also enjoyed a successful evening, guiding Reel Desire to two wins in the 1:06&3-1:08&3 Time Bar Class. Martins' skillful driving and Reel Desire's speed proved a winning combination.
The close competition and impressive times on display throughout the evening are a testament to the high level of skill and dedication within Bermuda's harness pony racing community. The season continues to deliver exciting action, with drivers and ponies pushing their limits in pursuit of victory.
