Kiwon Waldron endured a mixed bag of results as he kicked off his 2025 US Harness Racing campaign at Hawthorne Race Course in Chicago.
Waldron faced a busy four-race card with varying degrees of success.
His night began in RACE 4, a Trot Class event, where he guided Ya Caught to a fifth-place finish in a time of 1:58 flat.
Waldron then tasted his first podium of the new season in RACE 5, steering Allegheny Hanover to a solid third place in the Pace Class, stopping the clock in 1:55&1.
However, fortunes took a dip in RACE 6, another Trot Class race, where Marys Magic, driven by Waldron, could only manage fourth place in a time of 1:58&4.
Waldron's final outing of the night came in RACE 9, a Pace Class event. Partnering with Pasqualina, the duo finished seventh with a time of 2:02 flat.
While not the dream start to the year, Waldron will be hoping to build on his early experiences as he tackles the busy racing calendar ahead.
