Bermuda's CEA Mini Challenge & Support Show Round-Up

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Equestrian Federation (BEF) hosted the Bermuda Round of the 2024 Caribbean Equestrian Association’s “Mini” Jumping Challenge at the National Equestrian Center, on Vesey Street.

The CEA “Mini” Jumping Challenge was introduced in 2022 and is an additional competition to the CEA Regional Jumping Challenge which was held earlier this year.

The format of these competitions provides an excellent opportunity for local riders to measure their equestrian jumping skills against riders from other Caribbean Islands, without the expense and logistical challenges of traveling overseas. Rather, riders compete in their own countries over an identical jumping course.

In the CEA Mini Jumping Challenge riders compete over a predetermined course at heights of .50m, .60m and .70m. The top scores from the three height Divisions determine the country’s team.

2024 CEA “Mini Jumping Challenge BERMUDA Team:
Jasmine Lopes Heinz riding Happy Go Lucky. (.50m)
Kelsie Carreiro Riding Sunrise Surprise. (.60m)
Peta White riding Causing Chaos. (.70m)

The jumping course for this year’s competition was designed by Tatiana Kholodriakova of Russia. Officiating the Bermuda Round as well as the BEF Support Show was FEI Level One Jumper Judge Pam Mahoney of Bermuda.

As competing countries have one calendar year in which to host their CEA Mini Jumping Challenge, the Overall results will not be announced until January 2025.

Following the completion of the aforesaid CEA Mini Jumping Challenge, a BEF Support Show was held.
