Cole Simons, President of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation pens a message to Raishun Burch, “I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Raishun Burch for his outstanding contribution to international show jumping, as well as the management and development of Bermuda’s youth equestrians – locally and internationally.
On behalf of our Island of Bermuda, the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, and its equestrian fraternity, I salute Bermuda’s Raishun Burch for his tremendous contribution to the Caribbean Equestrian Association’s regional show jumping league. Burch served in the role of event organizer and also provided world-class coaching to Bermuda’s equestrians who participated in the 2024 Grand Caralbe Jumping Competitions held in Martinique, French Guyana, Guadeloupe, and Suriname. In addition, I eagerly await hearing of the efforts currently being undertaken in the CEA’s Regional Dressage and Eventing competitions. Finally, let us not forget to honor Burch for his role as Bermuda’s Ambassador at the prestigious April 2024 FEI Show Jumping World Cup held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Burch held the responsibility of supporting international travel, stable coordination, as well as housing.
Burch is a true testament as to what can be achieved when Bermudians set their minds to a task or goal. Burch is an International Grand Prix show jumping rider in Germany and throughout Europe. In addition, he is internationally recognized as a coach to junior show jumpers and is a successful event management consultant and marketing specialist.
We applaud you Burch for your exemplary efforts and achievements as a rider, coach, and as a mentor in supporting the development of Bermuda’s equestrian youth. On behalf of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, I extend a sincere thank you.”
