Equestrian Blaire Crews delivered a series of remarkably consistent performances at the World Equestrian Center in Florida during the prestigious Ocala Winter Spectacular IX. Competing in a high-stakes WCHR event that drew elite talent from across the region, Crews secured multiple top-five finishes to headline a productive weekend in the Sunshine State.
The young rider enjoyed a particularly strong partnership with Cayden, finding success early in the novice jumping divisions. In the .90m Novice Junior Jumper II.1 Class, Crews navigated a field of 13 entries with clinical precision to claim second place. She followed that performance with another podium finish in the II.2d variant of the same class, finishing third among 12 starters to underscore her growing confidence on the international stage.
As the technical demands of the courses increased, Crews remained unfazed. In the Novice Junior Classic .95m II.2b Class, she secured a fifth-place finish in a highly competitive group of 11 riders. She also demonstrated her versatility by stepping into the hunter discipline, guiding Cayden to a ninth-place finish out of 14 entries in the WEC Non Pro Derby Child's 2'6" event.
The weekend concluded with a test of poise in the Novice Junior Jumper Classic USHJA Jump Seat Medal 3’3 Class. Riding Gentley, Crews faced the largest field of her schedule with 24 entries vying for honours. Despite the increased pressure and height, she produced a solid round to finish 11th overall. These results mark another significant step in Crews' developmental campaign as she continues to test herself against the deep fields of the Ocala winter circuit.
