Unable to shoot indoors, the archers faced an added test of skill and resilience as they took aim in the elements.
In the Junior – 10-15 years - Recurve category, shooting at a distance of 18 meters on a 122 cm target face, Sophia Davidge delivered a commendable performance, scoring 470 out of a possible 600 points.
The Senior – Elite Recurve category, also shooting at 18 meters but on a three-spot target face, saw Camerin Pickering emerge victorious with a score of 553 out of 600. Jaydon Roberts finished in second place with a score of 542.
The archers' determination to compete despite the adverse weather conditions highlights their dedication to the sport. Their ability to maintain focus and accuracy in the face of challenging elements is a testament to their skill and mental fortitude.
