Panam Sports, announced the schedule for the Junior Pan American Games 2025 to be held in Paraguay from August 9th to 23rd 2025.
The Opening Ceremony of the Junior Pan American Games 2025 will take place on Saturday, August 9th, at Asuncion's La Nueva Olla stadium, home of the 45,000-seater Cerro Porteño club, while the Closing Ceremony will be held on August 23rd, at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
The American continent, which is home to more than a billion people across its three sub-continents, is expected to welcome 4,206 athletes from the 41 member nations of Panam Sports including Bermuda for the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games.
A total of 28 sports and 43 disciplines will be featured in this event. Unlike the first edition in Cali 2021, there will be four new sports: Field Hockey, Golf, Rugby and Waterski / Wakeboard. In addition, 2 disciplines have been added, BMX Freestyle and Basketball 5v5.
Thus, the following sports and disciplines are considered in Asunción: Diving, Swimming, Artistic Swimming, Open Water, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Handball, Basketball 3×3, Basketball 5v5, Canoe/Kayak Sprint, Bmx Racing, BMX Freestyle, Mountain Bike, Track Cycling, Road Cycling, Fencing, Golf, Artistic Gymnastic, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Hockey, Judo, Karate Kumite, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Shooting, Artistic Skating, Speed Skating, Skateboarding, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Weightlifting, Water-Skiing/Wakeboard, Wrestling, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
As for the number of athletes participating in ASU2025, 4,206 athletes are expected to stay in the different hotels in the Paraguayan capital and in the different locations outside of Asunción.
