Bermuda is set to compete in the Inaugural Carifta Gymnastic Championship, which is set to be hosted by the Jamaica Gymnastic Association later this year.
Jamaica will be hosting the two-day championship from November 29-30 at the National Indoor Sports Center, and the Jamaica Gymnastic Association Go FundMe page set up - is aimed at raising approximately 41 million dollars to offset the cost of staging the event.
The participating countries as of today include Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands.
Team Jamaica which began training recently is being coached by Mladen Stefanov.
The Jamaican team is expected to have two overseas training camps, in Canada and China, in the build-up to the tournament.
