Bermuda’s Athletes continue to compete at the XVIth Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Shianne Smith continued competing in the Women’s Heptathlon. Smith took part in the Women’s Heptathlon Long Jump where she finished sixth, Smith next competed in the Women's Heptathlon Javelin Throw where she finished 10th with a top toss of 31.95m.
Smith then won the Women’s Heptathlon 200m with a Personal Best time of 2:15.37. Smith ended the Women’s Heptathlon in tenth place overall with 5113 points.
Levinc Samuels ended the Men´s Single Qualifying Block One in 19th place with 1219 pins, while Damien Mathews is in 32nd with 1034, bit have bowled six games. In Men´s Single Qualifying Block Two, Samuels moved up two places to end 17th after twelve games with a total of 2414 pins, while Matthews moved up one spot to end in 31st with 2139 pins.
In Women´s Single Qualifying Block One action Dianne Jones bowled 988 pins in her six games and is in 27th, while June Dill is in 30th with 960 pins. In the Women´s Single Qualifying Block Two Dill moved up four spots to end the day in 26th with 2048 pins, while Jones fell one spot to finish 28th with 1967 pins.
In Individual Horse Jumping 1st Qualifier, Patrick Nisbett riding Cantaro 32 are in 32nd the pair completed the course in a time of 78.16, but they had 12 Penalty Fault Points, while Jillian Terceira is in 34th riding Bernadien Van Westurr they recorded a time of 88.02 with 4 Penalty Fault Points.
Tre Houston ran a Personal Best time of 20.91 during the first Heat in the Men's 200m Semi-Final where he finished 7th, however he failed to advance to the Final.
