After a scoreless first half at the Southampton Oval, Grant McKellar gave Robin Hood the lead in the 63rd minute, when he beat Jason Smith in goal from Southampton Rangers. In the 84th minute Keith Beach doubled the lead from a shot in his half of the field. Beach spotted Smith off his line and his long range shot flew over the goalkeepers head before bouncing into the back of the net.
