www.islandstats.com can confirm that talks are well underway to have players from the Island Soccer League (ISL) a part of the Hope for Life initiative play in a tournament in Miami in August 2010.
The players will be selected from the 2010 ISL Season to play in a 11 vs 11 competition that will also have Professional Outdoor Scouts on hand in Miami, that will also feature teams from other Caribbean Islands.
A Select Team from the tournament will then be selected to play against a team from Brazil in an exhibition match that will possibly be televised.
This tournament is just another one of ISL Commissioner David Bacome’s brainchild as he continues to make good on his promise he made back in 2005 to have young talented athletes given the opportunity to be exposed to a wider audience, Bascome and the Hope for Life program also has affiliations with other sports such as Basketball and Cricket.
More details on this developing story coming soon as we understand details are still being finalized.
