Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane says midfielder Reggie Lambe will be allowed to join up with the Bermuda Under 23 squad over the Christmas period. Lambe and the Bermuda Under 23 squad are set to take on Trinidad’s U23s in two matches December 28th & January 1st.
Keane says the organization of the matches has been suspiciously timed: “They’ve been well planned those games over the Christmas period! Lambe’s going to get some games and may be at home for a few days as well. I think Lambe organized them!”
“I’ve never stopped and never will stop my players going away to represent their countries and, as I say, the games have fallen into place nicely, with the sun on his back.
“With no reserve matches Lambe would have been given time off to go home anyway, just like a lot of our young lads and I’m sure Lambe will get one or two days off between the games.”
The 18-year-old, who made his first and so far only Town appearance at Shrewsbury in the Carling Cup earlier in the season, spent time with a Bermuda Under 23 training camp in May.
