Nisaiah Berkeley and her Lander University Women's Rugby teammates scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to come from behind and defeat West Chester 45 – 19.
Trailing 7-0, Sami Trippi scored in the 31st minute, but the conversion was no good to make it 7-5. A minute later, Isabella Gullatta scored a conversion to tie the score at seven.
West Chester answered with seven straight points to take a 14-7 lead. Jill Stewart got over the line in extra time to cut the Lander deficit to 14-12 at the break.
Tocarra Nelson scored on a long run down the sideline five minutes into the second half, and Dakota Burguess would find her way over the try line.
Gullatta converted both tries to turn the two-point deficit into a 26-14 Bearcat lead. In the 62nd minute, Mya Alexander added a try to make it a 33-14 game.
After West Chester cut the deficit to 33-19, Emma Tai would convert two tries, and Gullatta picked up a conversion to make the score 45-19.
