Bermuda National Men's Rugby coach Jamie Barnwell named a 24 man squad that will compete in the New York Sevens tournament this weekend.
But that is not the headline, Barnwell has been ruled out of travel for the weekend due to his job, he is a school teacher at the Warwick Academy.
Teachers are treated differently, with other rules and measures put in place, and because of the fact he would need to be Quarantine for a further period, he has been denied travel.
The Squad that will be split into two teams looks to be a mixture of experience, and youth.
A member of the Bermuda RAN's 7's and World Ruby Classic Team Mike Dill is the only name missing from this weekend's team, which sees a return to action for Corey Boyce who had been sidelined with an injury since 2019.
Surprisingly the Bermuda Squad features Jahniko Francis who was sent off in Bermuda’s defeat against France in the World Ruby Classic, had Francis been representing the country in another sport questions would be asked publicly in print, what is the organization officials doing about him!
The Bermuda teams have been split into two different groups, with Bermuda 7s in POOL A, while Bermuda is in POOL B.
