The Bermuda Rugby Football Union (BRFU), is pleased with recent accomplishments of both the National Sevens Team that competed in the Fireminds Rugby Americas North Sevens 2021 in Turks and Caicos, and the team that represented the country at the World Rugby Classic at the National Sports Center.
Men’s National coach Jamie Barnwell is now focused on preparing two teams to compete in the New York Sevens tournament at the end of the month.
The New York Sevens tournament began with One Division. Today there are Ten Divisions-Men's Premier, Club, Collegiate, and Social, Women's Premier, Club, Collegiate, and Social, and Boys and Girls High School. The tournament draws teams of all kinds from across the US, Canada, and worldwide.
Barnwell is also looking to prepare a Bermuda team for the upcoming Commonwealth Games Qualifying Tournament in Mexico in February.
