Jamin Hodgkins and his Cardiff Met teammates began their Championship Plate campaign with a comprehensive 30-5 bonus point victory at Tata Steel.
The Students suffered a disappointing Championship Cup campaign recently, but made amends with this impressive performance having dropped into the Plate. Dan Milton’s side score four Try's in total with Tom Workman, Keian Richards, Dylan Davies, and Ewan Bowden touching down for tries.
Hodgkins also contributed 10 points from the kicking tee. Blindside Flanker Steve John crossed for Tata Steel’s only Try of the game. Head coach Milton has a tough balancing act with the university playing BUCS Super League fixtures in midweek, meaning he has to find the right balance between continuity and resting players.
