Date Change for Round Two of World Tens Series League

IslandStats.com
The World Tens Series senior management team has taken the decision to move the dates of round two of the World Tens Series League from Saturday, October 31st and, Sunday, November 1st, to Monday and Tuesday, November 2ns & 3rd.

The date change has been applied to allow the SX10 franchise the opportunity to make its first appearance in the World Tens after missing the first round of the series due to one player receiving a positive COVID-19 test result.

All other members of the SX10 playing squad have returned negative COVID-19 results following the latest round of testing and the squad and player have been in strict quarantine.

Every squad member will be tested again in line with the Bermuda protocols on Monday, November 2nd and, if they all return negative results, they will be able to play.

To prepare for their tournament bow, SX10 will train in their bubble at their Resort this week, whilst maintaining appropriate distancing from everyone else. The player who tested positive remains in isolation away from the squad.

World Tens Series CEO, Jon Phelps said, “The World Tens Series is all about creating opportunities, evolving and adapting.

“The SX10 Squad has traveled a long way to be here, and we wanted to give them every chance to play if they passed through the Authorities protocols.”

Rhinos lead the World Tens Series League after round one following the Southern Californian side’s last gasp 7-6 victory against the London Royals.
