The Bermuda Rugby Football Union's League Season resumed at the National Sports Center, following the conclusion of the highly covered Bermuda World Rugby Classic.
Women's 1st Team League
The opening match saw the Police Ladies and Renegades Ladies end in a 3 - 3 draw, Jo Murray scored 2 Try’s for the Police Ladies, while Sarah Hurston added the other, while Melissa Franklin broke away from the pack twice to score 2 Try’s for the Renegades Ladies, with Leah Collis adding the other.
The other game in the Division also ended in a draw 1 - 1 between the Mariners Ladies and the Teachers Ladies. Gina Newson scored the Try for the Mariners Ladies, while the Teacher Try came from Najee Pitt-Clarke.
Women's 2nd Team League
The game between the Renegades and Police ended without either team reaching the touchline, the Renegades then took on a mix of the Mariners and Teachers Ladies and that ended 0 - 0. The Police got Try’s from Millie Cole and Tarmacia Lynch as they defeated a mix team of Mariners and Teachers Ladies 2 - 0.
Men's 1st XV League
The Renegades Men came from 20-12 down at half-time to defeat the Police 40-20 and cement their place at the top of the Men's League.
The Renegades got 2 Try’s from Jamie Baum, while Sam Waters, Delano Coetzer, Cedric Ennis and John Quigley all added a Try each, while Paul Kelly kicked 5 Conversions. The Police got a Try each from Guerhardt Lamprecht and Stephan Smit, while Rick Louw kicked 2 Conversion and 2 Penalties.
The Teachers scored deep into injury time to defeat the Mariners by a single point 36 - 35.
The Teachers got 2 Try’s from Jonathan Lightbourne, with Tashon DeSilva, Conor MacGowan, Tyler Kendall and Corey Boyce all adding a Try, MacGowan added 3 Conversions. Andre Bolotenko, Rory Dublin, Andrew Barnes, Wendell Anderson and Chakote Wainwright-Basden all went over for the Mariners, with Dublin & Rory OKelly-Lynch both kicking a Conversion and Penalty.
