Mia Fishel is part of a 28-player strong Chelsea squad that departed London to begin their pre-season tour of the United States.
Fishel is continuing her recovery from a season-ending injury last season.
Chelsea traveled Stateside for two friendly matches: a clash with NWSL side NJ/NY Gotham in New Jersey on Monday and a London derby against Arsenal in Washington DC on August 25th.
The traveling party included new head coach Sonia Bompastor and three of their summer signings – Sandy Baltimore, Oriane Jean-Francois, and Lucy Bronze – who could feature for the first time in Chelsea colors.
Fishel last season scored on her debut, heading in the first goal in a 2-1 win over Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
More goals would come in the FA Cup against West Ham and Champions League against Paris FC, but then in February 2024, Fishel had the major misfortune of sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on international duty.
