The Bermuda Football Coaches Association (BFCA) will host Les Ferdinand in Bermuda as their Guest Speaker for their upcoming Second Fundraiser Weekend.
A Press Release states, “The initiative is designed to raise the necessary funds to continue the BFCA’s work in providing Bermudian and local coaches with a comprehensive coach education/licensing program and to provide direct access to world-class education and a nurturing support base.”
“This is a tremendous opportunity for local football coaches, players, football enthusiasts, and the general public to hear Ferdinand talk about his storied career as a football player with Newcastle FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers, and the English National team,” said Dennis Brown, the BFCA’s President.
“Additionally, attendees will get an insight into his work as a Club Executive, Coach, and Football pundit. Ferdinand is proof positive that life after playing can be just as rewarding for football players looking to remain in the game.”
The spokesperson said, “The Speaker’s Night will be staged at the Pier 6 Complex (Upper Level-Inside) on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 with doors opening at 5:30 pm. The moderated one-on-one discussion with Ferdinand will follow, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with questions from the audience to follow until 8:30 pm. Tickets for the Speaker’s Night are $80 in advance (from June 1st through August 31st, 2024) and $120 for all tickets purchased after August 31st. Tickets can be purchased through PTIX.
“To round off the weekend, the BFCA will host the BFCA’s First Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 at the Belmont Hill’s Golf Course. The tournament format will be a 12:30 pm Shot-Gun start with a maximum of 20 foursomes. Interested Foursomes can contact the BFCA President to register.”
