Saundre Simons reached the USA National Boxing Championships Final in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Competing in the 189kg weight class, Simons took on Osundario Abimbola in the class championship.
Unfortunately for Simons, he would go down on all five judges’ scorecards 30 – 27.
In his First Round match-up, Simons stopped his opponent James Wohlschlegel, who was the Texas state champion.
Simons would then advance to the final, when his opponent Tyrone Russ, was disqualified.
