The National Sports Center complex will be closed effective immediately due to a case of Covid-19 being confirmed with one of the part-time employees.
Craig Tyrrell, SVP Operations, stated, "This is being done out of an abundance of caution, as a number of other employees have been identified as close contacts. Due to the impact on staffing levels, the facility will remain closed until all staff can be tested and cleared to return to work. We thank our members and the public that use the facility, for their understanding and patience at this time and we look forward to reopening when it is deemed safe to do so."
Amy Fox, Aquatics & Fitness Manager, added "All memberships will be extended automatically based on the length of this closure and as soon as we have more information, we will provide an update."
