BFA Affiliates Receive Donations from Marshall Family Foundation

Affiliates of the Bermuda Football Association, in collaboration with the Charles E. and Lesley Marshall Family Foundation, were on hand to collect cheques.
Coordinated by the Fund Advisors to the Charles E. and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football, representatives of Bermuda’s major football teams, convened and agreed to make donations from their clubs.
As the result, Devonshire Colts, North Village Rams, PHC Zebras, St. George’s Colts, Dandy Town Hornets, and BAA made match contributions to the fund to ensure that essential services could be delivered to people in need.
Speaking on behalf of the Marshall Family Fund, which launched the initiative, Shervin Dill said, “We as Affiliates of the Bermuda Football Association, felt it would be a great opportunity at this time during the Covid-19 pandemic, to work together on behalf of Football in Bermuda, to give something back to our communities and assist those families and fans that have always supported us through the years. To have been able to provide them with basic necessities such as food, shelter, and safety, was an honor and a blessing for us to make a contribution to such a worthy cause.”
Charles Marshall thanked the Clubs by saying, “I want to Thank You All, without you, we would have more social issues in this country, so Thank You.”
