Bermuda's Overseas Footballers Round Up

NAHKI WELLS

Bristol City will head into the first international break of the season with their 100% Championship record intact, after a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

First-half goals from Andreas Weimann and Nahki Wells put City in front, though a spirited fightback from Forest began through Luke Freeman’s long-range strike.

DALE EVE

Dale Eve and his Spennymoor Town teammates took on Bradford Park Avenue in their Emirates FA Cup battle.

Bradford Park Avenue took the lead in the 32nd minute when their brightest spark Lewis Knight was played in by Jake Hibbs after a loose pass and he beat an advancing Eve to his left.

In the 78th minute, Spennymoor were level, Glen Taylor met a Stephen Thompson corner and buries a header!

Two goals in a minute and Spennymoor turned the game on its head! McKenna drove down the right and found Thompson, and he made no mistake for his first Spennymoor goal to make it 2 – 1. On the stroke of full-time Spennymoor would get another as Taylor added his second of the game as Spennymoor are through to the next round of the cup-winning 3 – 1.

JUSTIN DONAWA

Justin Donawa and his Darlington Town teammates also took to the field for the Emirates FA Cup taking on Prescot Cables, they would advance on Kicks from the Penalty Mark after the teams finished deadlocked at 2 – 2.

Darlington took the lead in the 29th minute, a lovely little clipped cross by Campbell found Luke Charman and he made no mistake. In the 56th minute and Prescot Cables were level when Alexander McMillan scored.

Darlington went back in front four minutes later, Charman scored his second, Charman peeled off the last defender and side-footed home at the back post. Prescot Cables would get yet another equalizer in the 84th minute when James Edgar scored.

D’ANDRE WAINWRIGHT

D’Andre Wainwright and his Durham City teammates went down to a heavy defeat at the hands of Redcar Athletic’s.

Redcar Athletic’s got 2 goals from Isaac Walker, while Ross Preston, Nicky Martin, Jack Proctor, and Harry Williams all added a goal each, as they won 6 – 0.

EVA FRAZZONI

Eva Frazzoni and her Gamla Upsala SK Dam Women’s teammates who play in Sweden’s Division 1 Norra Svealand, defeated Sollentuna 3 – 1.

Gamla Upsala SK Dam took the lead when Celina Karlsson scored in the 49th minute, that lead was doubled in the 57th minute when Elva Fridjonsdottir scored.

Sollentuna pulled a goal back in the 80th minute through a goal from Zanden, but two minutes later Frazzoni restored the Gamla Upsala SK Dam two-goal lead.

KNORY SCOTT

Knory Scott and his Hastings Football Club teammates took on Ebbsfleet United in their Emirates FA Cup, but they would bow out on Kicks from the Penalty Mark after the teams finished deadlocked at 2 – 2.

Ebbsfleet United took the lead after a scoreless first half when Lee Martin scored from the penalty spot in the 58th minute. Hastings United drew level in the 60th when Kenny Pogue scored from close range.

Hasting United would take a 2 – 1 lead in the 84th minute when Sam Adams scored from just inside the box, but in the 90th minute Ben Chapman would find the equalizer for Ebbsfleet United as the match would have to be settled with Kicks from the Penalty Mark, Ebbsfleet won 4 – 1.

KOLE HALL

Kole Hall scored but he could not prevent Radcliffe continue their journey in the Emirates FA Cup as they went down 2 – 1 to Farsley Celtic at a wet Citadel.

In the 8th minute Jimmy Spencer fired home to give Farsley Celtic the lead, James Spencer doubled the lead in the 42nd minute firing home after a mix up at the back.

In the 61st minute, Kole Hall taped home after a brilliant run by Luca Navarro, but they could not find the equalizer.
