The Bermuda Football Coaches Association (BFCA) announced its schedule of coach education for the C License Course for 2020.
To date the BFCA has helped to educate over 350 coaches through courses made available to Bermuda’s football coaches.
This has played a major role in helping many to meet the criteria established by the Bermuda Football Association in 2018 for mandatory coach licensing.
Included in this total are 212 coaches who have completed the C License Course, 85 coaches who completed the Intro to Coaching Course, 20 coaches who completed the Scottish FA level 1 & 2 Goal Keeping courses and 35 coaches who have traveled to our coach education partner – The Scottish FA, to complete the UEFA B license course.
The BFCA C License Course is being led by UEFA qualified instructor Jacques Crevoisier
The C License Course teaches participants the main principles of coaching – organizing and effectively running group sessions, developing age specific training and analyzing training sessions and matches.
This 40 hour course was designed using UEFA Licensing standards to create a specific Bermuda certification.
The course is suitable for coaches with two or more years of experience, or have attained the pre-requisite Intro to Coaching certificate. This two part course comprises classroom and on-field sessions, with individual assessments held at the end of the course.
The course is sanctioned by the Bermuda Football Association and helps the successful candidate qualify for the BFA C Coaching License required to coach Under 13 – Under 17 aged teams playing in BFA youth leagues.
