IslandStats.com
Three Bermudian Equestrians are heading to Guadeloupe to compete in the 2024 Grand Caraibe Jumping Championship beginning May 8th – 12th.

Representing Bermuda will be Kimoy Cruickshank, Sierra Wolfe, and Emma Kempe.

The Grand Caraibe comprises 4 competitions held during the 2023/2024 season. Although Bermuda did not have representation at the first competition held in French Guyana in October 2023, Bermuda did have representation at the October 2023 competition held in Suriname as well as the February 2024 competition held in Martinique.

The competition is held over two days, the first day is a speed class at various jumping heights, while the second day of competition comprises “Jump-Off” Classes again at varying heights.

This will be Wolfe and Kempe's first experience competing in the Grand Caraibe Championships, while Cruickshank successfully competed in Suriname and Martinique.

The Bermuda riders will be coached by Bermudian Grand Prix rider, Raishun Burch, while the team Manager will be Caribbean Equestrian Association President and FEI Official, Heidi Shelley Mello.

The 2024 edition of the event will bring together riders from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Suriname, Barbados, St. Martin, Antigua, Haiti, Jamaica, and Bermuda.
