The 2016-17 Harness Pony Racing Season came to an end with the Champions of Champions Final Day Racing at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street.
In the 1:07&2 - 1:08&1 Time Bar Class, Inwood’s Progress and Candyce Martins crossed the line first with a time of 1:09&1, while LR’s Last Chance and Rookie of the Year Kelsey Durham was second in 1:09&3.
Clocking a time of 1:07&2 earned Black & Mild with Zinho Cooper in the bike a first place spot, while Andrea Westerfield in the bike of Park Ranger finished second clocking 1:07&3 and Inwood’s Generation and Christian Truran was third in 1:08 flat.
Tyler Lopes in the bike of IC’s Overextended won the first heat in the 1:04&2 & Faster Time Bar Class clocking a time of 1:05&2.
Cameron Harris in the bike of JustWatchMe won heat one of the 1:04&3 - 1:06 Time Bar Class with a time of 1:05&3, Double Time and Kiwon Waldron was second in a time of 1:06&2 and Reel Patrol with Andrea Westerfield in the bike third in 1:06&3.
In the first Champions of Champions race Pocket De Gold and Christian Truran clocked a winning time of 1:04&3, Tyler Lopes in the bike of Cherokee’s Ironman was second in 1:04&4, Itsallaboutme and Casey Truran was third with a time of 1:05&1 and Andrea Westerfield in the bike of Custard the Dragon was fourth in 1:05&4.
