Bermuda has begun competing in the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifiers in Paramaribo, Suriname.
In their opener Bermuda fell 91 – 78 to Antigua, Bermuda were down 21- 9 at the end of the first period, they would outscore Antigua 23-19 in the second period to go to the break down 40 – 32. Bermuda would score 27 third period points and restrict Antigua to 23 to go into the final period down by four 63 – 59, but in the final period Antigua would score 28 points and Bermuda could only manage 19.
Jaren Haley led Bermuda in the scoring department with a game high 28 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assist and 2 steals. Chris Crumpler added 15 points, while Jason Lowe scored 14 points off the bench.
