Forty Youth to Attend World Hoop Summit

Coach Chris Crumpler announced that the Bermuda Basketball Youth Federation is planning taking approximately 40 boys to the World Hoop Summit (www.worldhoopsummit.com) in Pennsylvania this summer.

Traveling will be four teams ages Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 10 along with their coaches.

The event will be held at Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania from July 9th to July 15th, 2018 and will feature a three-day pro-skills clinic, followed by a two-day tournament of nations. According to Crumpler, the event will feature one of the top collections of professional basketball trainers ever assembled to teach international players the game.

In addition to the skills clinic and tournament, attendees of the World Hoop Summit will enjoy an extra-curricular activity such as a visit a theme park, a movie, or a visit to a local fun center for laser tag and go-carts. Parents and visiting guests will have access to a daily shuttle to the King of Prussia mall, the largest shopping mall in the United States.

Jeff Dosado is the Camp Director for the event and he is one of the most sought after Player Development Coaches in the United States. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dosado now resides in Los Angeles, California and travels the U.S. and internationally to train elite players at all levels – from Grassroots, High School, College, and Professionals overseas and in the NBA.

Coach Dosado is frequently found as one of Coach John Lucas’ featured trainers at his camps throughout the country. The former #1 NBA Draft Pick, current Houston Rockets Coach and pioneer in youth basketball development comments that when surveys are given out after each camp, Dosado’s feedback always comes back as being highly rated and recommended.

Dosado has also represented NBA All-Star Chris Paul and The Jordan Brand imparting his knowledge and expertise at his CP3 Rising Stars & National Middle School Combine events.

Additional to his training experience, Jeff has vast coaching extending from the AAU circuit, to High School & College. Coach Jeff‘s ability to speak languages (English, French & Tagalog) combined with his knowledge of the game, domestically & internationally make him the perfect person to lead the World Hoop Summit.

Joining Coach Jeff is Patrick Robinson aka “Pat The Roc” who is very well known in basketball circles for his time spent on the And 1 mixtape tour, but more recently for his innovative work as a professional trainer where he has trained some of the top NBA players from teams such as the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards. Robinson travels the world training many youth and professional athletes all over the globe including Bermuda. He started the Pat The Roc Skills Academy, in hopes to share his knowledge of the game of basketball to help players improve their skills.

Also making a special guest appearance is James Clark, professional trainer and a native of California. “JC” as he is known among basketball circles has worked with players in the NBA, WNBA, Europe, Canada, and all over the world. He was the pre-draft trainer for Ben Simmons who was selected as the 1st pick in the 2016 NBA draft and has worked as a shooting coach for professional NBA players Chucky Atkins and Mike Miller and WNBA players Nykesha Sales, Katie Douglas and Shannon “Pee Wee” Johnson. JC is CEO of Full Court Solutions based out of the Philadelphia area.
