The Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) and the Colombian Cycling Federation have officially unveiled the star-studded entry list for the Montería 2026 Pan American Road Championship.
The event, which officially gets underway today in the capital of Córdoba, will see 350 of the finest cyclists from across the Americas compete for continental glory and vital UCI ranking points between March 16th and 22nd.
A formidable assembly of 29 nations has arrived in Colombia, including powerhouse delegations from the United States, Brazil, and Argentina, alongside a strong Caribbean contingent featuring Barbados, Jamaica, and Bermuda.
The championships will span the elite, under-23, and junior categories for both men and women, with titles up for grabs in the high-velocity individual time trial and the grueling road race modalities.
Bermuda enters the fray with a select group of high-performance riders aiming to make their mark on the international stage.
Gabriella Arnold will fly the flag in the Elite Women’s field, bringing her extensive international experience to a peloton packed with the continent's top professionals.
In the Elite Men’s category, the island is represented by the dual threat of Nicholas Narraway and Kaden Hopkins. Both riders have enjoyed a stellar rise through the European ranks and are viewed as legitimate contenders in the individual time trial—a discipline where they have previously excelled at the regional level.
For the young talents gathered in Montería, the stakes are incredibly high. Beyond the immediate prestige of a Pan American title, riders are chasing valuable points for the UCI international rankings, which serve as the primary gateway for qualification into major world championships and future global games.
As the first riders roll off the ramp for the time trials this week, all eyes will be on whether the heavyweights of Colombia and Ecuador can defend their home turf, or if Bermuda’s elite trio can cause an upset in the heart of Córdoba.
