Bermudian Basketball sensation Ralph Scott has been named to the 2025-26 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Boys High School Player of the Year Watch List, solidifying his status as one of the elite high school prospects in North America.
Scott, a 6-foot-8 wing/power forward who attends IMG Academy in Florida, has seen his recruitment and profile accelerate tremendously throughout 2025. He is regarded as a top-50 prospect nationally in the class of 2026.
The accolade follows a string of impressive performances, including a victory in the school's season opener dunk competition. Scott recently won the IMG 25/26 Dunks after Dark dunk competition, a season opener event at the school where he famously entered at the last minute. He secured the spectacular win by jumping over his 7ft teammate to seal the victory.
Scott's inclusion on the Naismith Watch List caps a breakthrough year that saw him earn significant attention from NCAA and NBA scouts:
He was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Basketball Without Borders Americas camp in El Salvador in June 2025. He also showcased his potential at the inaugural NBA Academy International Showcase in Abu Dhabi, where he contributed to IMG's dominant 89-59 victory over NBA Academy Africa. Scott has received several Division I university offers, recently committing to the University of Tennessee.
The Naismith Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding boys' and girls' prep basketball players who achieve tremendous on-court success.
