Egan, Burgess, & Brangman Claim Monthly Medal Honours

The Bermuda Golf Association’s November Monthly Medal delivered a day of exceptional competition amidst challenging conditions at Belmont Hills, with Paul Egan, Roger Brangman, and Tracy Burgess securing the top division honours.

Four golfers shot an impressive one-over-par 71, highlighting the fierce contest for the Men's First Flight title. Paul Egan ultimately led the field to victory, securing the top spot with a scorecard featuring 4 Birdies, 10 Pars, 3 Bogies, and 1 Double Bogey.

Junior talent Arman Newton captured second place on retrogression, shooting a 6-over-par 76 ahead of Johnny Bart, Daniel Holland, and Jonathan James.

In the Ladies Division, Tracy Burgess claimed the top spot after a solid 5-over-par 75. Her round included 3 Birdies, 8 Pars, 6 Bogey’s, and 1 Double Bogey. Elizabeth Carpio finished second after a round of 10-over-par 80, pushing Carine Brule and Tracy Nash (both shooting 82s) further down the leaderboard.

The Men's Senior Division was equally tight, with Roger Brangman taking division honours on retrogression. Brangman, along with Mark Ray and Kyle Lightbourne, all turned in rounds of 1-over-par 71. Brangman’s strong play included 6 Birdies, 8 Pars, 1 Bogey, and 3 Double Bogey’s to secure the win.

In the Net Division results: Tracy Nash finished on top for the Ladies, with Ann Mitchell taking second. Robbie Bailey took Net honours in the Men's First Flight, with Jeremie Hayward securing second place on retrogression. Ed Frey finished on top by retrogression over John Whiley in the Men's Senior Division.

The Closest to Pin Winners were: Liz Carpio (Ladies, 4th hole), Daniel Holland (Men's First Flight, 7th hole), Kyle Lightbourne (Senior Men's, 17th hole), and Darina Betschart (Open, 11th hole).
