The 2025-26 Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) season kicked off with an exciting start, as team 'Wrong Hole' secured a narrow victory at the opening tournament.
The team, comprising Padraig Mulry, Nathan Clarke, Calum Smith, and Mike Jones, edged out their competitors to claim the crystal trophy by a single shot. They finished just ahead of a two-way tie for second place between the 'TOALers' (Richard O'Connell, Rory Worrall, Richard Hinwood, Kenneth Vevers) and the 'Screaming Eagles' (Jimmy Caplice, Kevin Ronaldson, Dermot O'Sullivan, Nicholas Barrett).
In the individual competitions, Cindy Ratzlaff won the Ladies Closest to the Pin on the 3rd hole, while Richard O'Connell took the Men's prize on the 13th. Junior golfer Zach McGuire also impressed, winning the Closest to the Pin on the 8th.
The longest drives of the day on the 18th hole were hit by Morgan Lightbourne for the ladies and David Soutter for the men.
