 Nicholas Narraway IslandStats.com Bermuda's Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway have delivered impressive performances on Day Two of the Green Mountain Stage Race (GMSR) in New England. Competing in a challenging 111.0-mile Randolph Circuit Race, the two cyclists showed their class in the Men's Pro/1/2 Division.
In a race won by Adem Aricanli in a time of 3:53:13, Hopkins put in a strong performance to finish 14th over the line, clocking a time of 3:54:03, just 50 seconds behind the winner. His teammate, Nic Narraway, also had a solid ride, finishing just two spots behind in 16th with the same time as Hopkins.
The strong showing from both riders has kept them firmly in contention in the overall general classification. After two stages, Hopkins sits in 12th place with a combined time of 4:07:17, 56 seconds behind the leader, Aricanli. Narraway is currently in 32nd place with a combined time of 4:07:50, 1 minute and 29 seconds off the pace.
The four-day GMSR is known for its challenging terrain, and the Bermudian duo's ability to stay with the main peloton on such a long and demanding stage is a positive sign for the rest of the race. They will be looking to build on this momentum as they head into the next stages of the competition.
