Cyclist Kaden Hopkins finished his campaign at the 74th Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe with a strong performance in the final stage, securing a top-10 finish and a respectable overall position.
The ninth and final stage, a challenging 143.7km route from Pointe-à-Pitre to Baie-Mahault, saw Hopkins representing Uni Sport Lamentinois cross the line in 8th place. He recorded a time of 3:12:06, matching the stage winner, Paul Daumont.
Hopkins' consistent performance throughout the tour saw him finish 21st overall with a combined time of 32:38:26. This placed him 37 minutes and 30 seconds behind the overall winner, Camilo Andrés, who clocked an impressive time of 32:00:54 over the course of the tour.
In addition to his solid overall ranking, Hopkins also made a strong push for the Points Classification, ultimately finishing 3rd with 86 points, just missing out on the prestigious Green Jersey.
