Bermuda Pacers athletes continued their impressive showing at the 2025 Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational at Durham Memorial Stadium, adding a remarkable six gold medals, one silver, and one bronze to their tally on a stellar day of competition.
The distance runners were particularly dominant, sweeping multiple 1500m divisions. In the youngest age group, Elliott Davidge claimed the Gold Medal in the Boys 1500m 8 & Under Division, clocking a winning time of 5:49.40.
The success continued through the girls' categories. Naomi MacGuinness secured the 11-12 Girls 1500m Division Gold Medal with a strong finish of 4:58.90. Not far behind, Riana Robinson powered to victory in the 13-14 Girls 1500m Division, earning gold with a time of 5:02.44.
The boys' older divisions also saw Bermudian triumph. Timothy Pearman clinched the 13-14 Boys 1500m Division Gold Medal, crossing the line in 4:50.35. In the 15-16 Boys 1500m Division, Gianluca Bortoli captured gold with a time of 4:30.65, demonstrating his class. The gold rush was completed by Carina Bortoli, who won the 17-18 Women’s 1500m Division Gold Medal in 5:34.07.
The Pacers also secured further podium finishes. Tobiah Goodchild earned a well-deserved silver medal in the 15-16 Boys 1500m Division, clocking 4:48.30. In the field events, Amaya Davis leapt to a bronze medal in the 13-14 Girls Long Jump Division, with a top mark of 4.89m (16 feet 0.50 inches).
Other notable performances included Elena Bortoli, who finished a strong fourth in the 13-14 Girls 1500m Division with a time of 5:31.57, and Ronan Davidge, who placed seventh in the 13-14 Boys 1500m Division, stopping the clock in 5:16.92.
The Bermuda Pacers continue to make their mark at this prestigious East Coast invitational, showcasing the depth of talent within their ranks.
