Bermuda is among the nations represented at the One Guyana 3x3 Quest Basketball Tournament, a vibrant event taking place at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The tournament is more than just a competition; it brings together a diverse range of teams from across the region and beyond. A total of 20 teams from 17 countries are participating in the One Guyana 3x3 Quest, showcasing a clash of cultures, talent, and passion for the sport.
Teams from Ecuador, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and Suriname are all competing.
John Lee, Yusef Riley, Darea Smith, and Johnathan Lowe are representing Bermuda who has been placed in Pool B for the tournament.
Bermuda's Day One Results:
Bermuda opened their campaign against the Renegades from Guyana, but faced a tough challenge, losing 20-10.
In their second game, Bermuda went down 17-9 to the Elite Blazers from St. Lucia.
Bermuda's final game on Day One saw them narrowly defeated 18-16 by the Quarters United from Trinidad & Tobago.
While Day One presented challenges for the Bermuda team, the tournament provided a valuable opportunity to compete against international opposition and gain experience in the fast-paced 3x3 format.
