Montverde Academy delivered a series of impressive performances at the New Balance National Indoor Championships, culminating in a spectacular national title victory in the Women's 4x200 Meter Relay.
The quartet of Sofia Regazzi, Nakira Hudson, Arima Turner, and Dasia Reed produced a stunning display of speed and teamwork in the finals, crossing the line in 1 minute, 36.89 seconds to secure the coveted national championship. Their dominant performance solidified Montverde Academy's position as a force to be reckoned with on the national high school track and field stage.
Beyond the relay triumph, several Montverde Academy athletes showcased their individual talents throughout the championships.
Miles Outerbridge delivered a series of impressive performances in the Men's 60m Dash. He clocked a personal best time of 6.89 seconds in the preliminaries, finishing 22nd overall. In the semi-finals, he recorded a time of 6.90 seconds, finishing 19th. Outerbridge also impressed in the Men's 200m Dash, setting another personal best time of 21.41 seconds and finishing 13th overall.
Arima Turner, fresh from her Relay Gold Medal, also competed in the individual sprint events. She finished 101st in the Women's 60m Dash with a time of 7.87 seconds and 119th in the Women's 200m Dash, clocking a season-best time of 25.58 seconds. Turner was also a key member of the 4x200m relay team that qualified for the finals, finishing third in the preliminaries with a time of 1:38.61.
Ellise Dickinson competed in the Women's 400m Dash, finishing 132nd with a season-best time of 1 minute, 2.18 seconds.
