Nicholas Narraway delivered another strong performance in the 45th edition of the Olías Industrial Trophy, finishing 6th overall in one of the most gruelling race conditions in recent years. In a field of 180 riders, Narraway was among just 39 cyclists to complete the race—the only rider from his Tenerife BikePoint-La Sede team to finish.
Narraway was clocked across the line in a time of 4:02:05, six seconds behind the winner Juan Diego Cano of Valverde Team-Ricardo Fuentes.
The race, held in Toledo, Spain, was plagued by relentless rain, freezing temperatures, and strong winds, creating an unforgiving test of endurance. With crashes and exhaustion forcing many competitors to withdraw, Narraway demonstrated tactical strength, securing 3rd place in the elite men’s standings and 5th in the mountain classification.
What makes Narraway’s achievement more impressive is that he continues to compete at this elite level while pursuing his college education. This season, while based in Spain, he is managing his studies through online courses and exams, demonstrating dedication, time management, and discipline. Racing in Europe at this level is challenging enough, but balancing it with academic commitments underscores Narraway’s remarkable work ethic and determination.
