Rhode Island emerged triumphant in the Bermuda Invitational, securing a resounding 6-0 victory over the Bermuda Select team in the final match at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium. Despite a goalless first half, Rhode Island's second-half surge proved decisive, earning them the tournament title on goal difference.
Both Rhode Island and Portland Hearts of Pine finished the tournament with four points, but Rhode Island's superior goal difference (+6 compared to Portland's +2) secured their place at the top of the table.

The Bermuda Select team held their own in the first half, keeping Rhode Island at bay, however, Rhode Island's substitutes made a significant impact in the second half.
Jojea Kwizera broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, and Noah Fuson doubled the lead just six minutes later. Taimu Okiyoshi added a third goal in the 77th minute, putting Rhode Island firmly in control.
Fuson then scored his second goal in the 80th minute before completing his hat-trick seven minutes later. Okiyoshi rounded off the scoring in the 89th minute with his second goal of the match, sealing a comprehensive 6-0 victory for Rhode Island.
Despite the loss, the Bermuda Senior Men’s national coaches would have had a look at a new crop of players ahead of their 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Preliminary match against Honduras.
